Search Tips

If you are having trouble trying to locate a certain item on letZshop.co.uk, then please follow our search tips below to help you.

1) Keep it simple.

When entering a search string, the best results are usually obtained if you enter just one word from the title. Try to use the least common word, i.e., avoid using words like "The" "and" "a", which will produce hundreds (if not thousands) of search results. Additionally, titles beginning with "the" are often not listed as such in the database. For example, "The League of Gentlemen" is listed simply as "League of Gentlemen". Searching for "the league" will produce no results, searching for "league" or "gentlemen" will find what you are looking for. At the risk of repetition, avoid using "the" in a search string.

2) Avoid words containing punctuation.

The search engine does not deal well with words containing hypens or periods. For example, if searching for L. A. Confidential, it would be best to simply type "confidential". (The case of letters is unimportant: "Confidential" is treated the same as "confidential").

3) Always enter more than three characters.

Our database search engine cannot retrieve small words, or if your main word is 3 characters in length, try adding another word to the search.
